Therapy for anyone
who’s been avoiding therapy.
Hi, I’m Regan
[REE - gan]
Regan Smithweiss, MA, AMFT .
(AMFT #152248)
I know that reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating.
Especially if you’ve spent years masking, feeling misunderstood, or trying to be everything to everyone.
My goal is to make getting started feel a little less overwhelming.
I take a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and attachment-focused approach to therapy, with a particular passion for supporting individuals and families navigating the effects of complex post-traumatic stress disorder. I work from a place of genuine presence, humor, and curiosity, integrating person-centered therapy, parts work, creative interventions, and practical skills for emotional regulation.
Whether you are dealing with chronic overwhelm, identity questions, family conflict, or the exhaustion of masking, our work together focuses on understanding your story, healing relational wounds, and building a way of living that actually feels like you.
Who I work with and what I work with them on:
I work with children, teens, college students,
and adults, as well as families. I work with my clients on navigating:
Perfectionism, and burnout
ADHD and Autism (Neurodivergence)
Depression & Overwhelm
Complex and developmental trauma (CPTSD)
Family conflict and attachment wounds
Emotional regulation
